Its hard not to notice changes in the web as people learn to social network. Suppose its bested viewed as a work in progress. But at its heart and rather disturbing is in how some NetCitizens seem to blindly trust certain portals of perceived authority by the virtue of their name and perception of largeness of presents upon the net. Some of which is certainly good, well deserved, and healthy… On the other hand a potent and persisting problem of human nature. That has, over historical time, resulted in some of civilizations greatest tragic mistakes. “I was only following orders!” was not a defense at Nuremburg nor should it be accepted as part of the present policy mistakes by Wall Street or consider portal prerogatives by the large social networks such as Facebook, Google and twitter. The reason that people seem so eager to buy into such arrangement seem clear enough (social acceptance and peer to peer pressures the dynamics which are clearly and easily understood). The problems associated with such arrangements are not so easily discerned because it depends upon motive which too often is easily hidden or design which can be bought out, sold out, or simply changed.

A solution to the abuse of power is simply and eloquently handled and addressed directly by our Constitution by the balance that’s inherent in the internal mechanism of conflict resolution ambitions that resolve ambitions. Beautiful and simply an eloquent solution when exercised within the parameters of its given framework. The abuse occurs when elements are artificially weighted by either deception or design… When certain groups have unlimited access to resources of the state by corruption or bribery.

Sunlight the best disinfectant… This is the most direct and preferred solution provided by the open source community. As it ensures communications that follow community standards that servers the interest and welfare of the greater community. Some have a problem with this approach. Whether patented, copyright, or propriety, the understood motivation is mainly to maintain a competitive advantage which produces profits.

Its the American way and has inspired great innovation along the way but the problem is, in which all may agree, the unfair gain at the expense of progress and duly constituted freedoms. The economic mess that our nation and the world have experienced are, without question the result of unfair competitive advantages through ill-gotten if not illegal gains. Technically by virtue of its construction censorship of the Internet is a tall order but as a practical matter within the legal and social fabric of the real world it can readily be accomplished. That is if you have a populace willing to cede itself to constraints and tolerate censorship. That is why all this business involving Craigslist is such a big deal and you have such sensationalism in news such as the Craigslist Killer. You have thousands of people killed in automobile accidents everyday but no one is advocating abolition of the family automobile. The reason is obvious in that powerful interest view Craigslist as both a threat and a test and if they can change the mind set of the populace to accept even minuscule amounts of censorship for what appears on the surface good reasons then a crack in the dam is forged and then the flood gates are opened to censor the web across the board… All for very good reasons.

The Devils Right Hand

The true threat to humanity are not the Hitlers, the Dahmers, and the Mansons. Those who have a view of reality that twisted–those who have no regard for human life, or even delight in the suffering or death of others–are few and far between. They are outnumbered (and perhaps more importantly, out-gunned) at least a million to one.

No, as disturbing as the occasional psychotic, sadistic murderer is, that is NOT what society needs to worry about. Let’s look at the other column on the score card. The grand total is in the hundreds of millions of human beings tortured and murdered. And who is responsible? Who accomplished atrocities way beyond what the famous mass-murders accomplished?

Average, generally decent human beings, who did the wrong thing BECAUSE SOMEONE IN “AUTHORITY” TOLD THEM TO. They are the Devil’s Right Hand. Remove that blind obedience to imagined “authority”–just getting those people to use their OWN judgment instead of following someone else’s–and you remove 99% of murder from the earth.

It is unbelievable that 20 years ago today thousands (perhaps even higher by some accounts) of Chinese citizens were shot down in the streets in their protests for democracy and freedom… Now for the sake of their 401k Tim Geithner and company go crawling back to Kowtow in fun and frolic dancing upon their knees before our new Chinese masters. “Yes, yes of course we will give up General Motors, our commitment to human rights, our Constitution, and shed any sense of shame… Just please keep buying our debt!” For those of you who may have wondered just where in the world that bridge in New York disappeared to… Well now you know.
Now according to some of the currency experts all is fine in the world as long as there remains a scarcity of those precious dollars.

China is being considerate enough in saying that US is capable of repaying its debts. In his recent trip to China the US Treasury Secretary has tried to assure the Chinese counterparts about US’s capabilities and commitments. When reports last came in it was confirmed by him after meeting top leaders in Beijing.

China has invested nearly $800 billion in U.S. government securities and has been lecturing both in private and public to Washington on its spendthrift fiscal policy. So it came as no surprise that US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner in his maiden China trip had to deal with some of the heat. In fact only yesterday Chinese students laughed it away as Geithner was trying to reassure a questioner about china’s investments in the US as “very safe.”

However, when the Treasury Secretary met the President and the Prime minister of the nation, the mood was more of an appeasing in nature. Surprisingly the issue was not even discussed when Geithner met President Hu Jinato. Geithner later said that their Chinese counterparts have a sophisticated understanding about the things that were going on and that US is committed to walk back to good times in the finance sector very soon.

It’s wonderful that the Chinese have the money and the freedom to enjoy Twitter and Flickr and thousands of other Web sites. It’s a travesty, though, that in preparation for the Tiananmen Square anniversary, Chinese citizens were blocked from accessing those sites, along with about 6,000 others.

Tiananmen Square itself was closed, Chinese media made no mention of the anniversary, and martial law descended on anyone considered likely to raise a fuss.

This should have been a week when, spurred by the anniversary, the United States was pressing China to increase freedoms. Instead, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was in that nation trying to reassure the Chinese that their investments, $1.5 trillion in U.S. dollars and the $800 billion in U.S. debt, are safe.

Most have also figured by now where they’ve been hiding that big statue, looks like the most likely place is where they’ve been blowing all that smoke… Gonna need a Doctor with a huge crane to extract this enema that has been so far shoved up the assets of the American people, everyone’s eyes are crossed and seeing double trouble. As far as the Cern super particle accelerator… Ya know it might be nice to have a little Black Hole to hang around the house (that is of course if you can afford to have your house devoured every nano second or so). We all know to get to the real black hole it takes an infinite amount of money to build a really big Supercollider you’re going to need to start with something like Leman Brother or better yet a Bear Stearn with a ring collar the size of a Fannie Mae and a Freddy Mac then you’ll see what a real Black hole is truly like…

Kinda of makes all that Pagan Dance and AntiChrist nonsense seem rather quaint.

Clear enough but adjustments have been made and tho not altogether in the clear, it appears that we have weathered the worst… It appears there maybe some more difficult days ahead, unrest in some of the third world nations will require attention. However as long as we pay attention to our Constitution, everything should be alright. Looks like from the interview on 60 Minutes that the Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke was the right man for the job at the right time… Just in time.

A Black Day on Wall Street but a Rare Moment doing Jefferson Proud

The Market made for a deep dive today as to be expected from the unexpected vote in The United States House of Representatives but its from such days that really put Wall Street into one of its temper tantrums tanks… And one of those rare moments, that occur from time to time, which would in another place in time, place a broad smile on Jefferson’s face. In the face of all the fear mongering, saber rattling, politicking, emerges rare courage in congress… Which compels men to do the right thing, simply because it is the right thing to do.

Let us, then, with courage and confidence pursue our own Federal and Republican principles, our attachment to union and representative government. Kindly separated by nature and a wide ocean from the exterminating havoc of one quarter of the globe; too high-minded to endure the degradations of the others; possessing a chosen country, with room enough for our descendants to the thousandth and thousandth generation; entertaining a due sense of our equal right to the use of our own faculties, to the acquisitions of our own industry, to honor and confidence from our fellow-citizens, resulting not from birth, but from our actions and their sense of them; enlightened by a benign religion, professed, indeed, and practiced in various forms, yet all of them inculcating honesty, truth, temperance, gratitude, and the love of man; acknowledging and adoring an overruling Providence, which by all its dispensations proves that it delights in the happiness of man here and his greater happiness hereafter—with all these blessings, what more is necessary to make us a happy and a prosperous people? Still one thing more, fellow-citizens—a wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities.

A bit wordy for basically saying (cutting to the chase) Keep Government out of business, commerce and industry. It can only do harm. Let the free markets work and sort things out as they will surely do. Treasury bonds aside, the business of exchange of buying or selling of commodities is best left to business. Especially in these times when you have multi million dollar lobbyist currying special favors in just about every flavor covering all corners of Washington DC. It really did not appear that Congress could muster a backbone in the whole entire lot of them… It was the leadership that was clearly abysmal but in spite of it all (Terrible leadership from the top down) Congress did the “Peoples” business and protected the peoples dollars from the foolishness, and folly that landed the markets in their present unpleasing situation. Sure things will always fall upon the little guy the hardest… But today was one of those rare moments that Americans prevailed over special interest. But in a larger sense it was The Constitution… A victory for Freedom! Simply amazing.

The Untied States House Of Representatives doing a fine job in a defining moment… Something of a divine intervention no doubt.

Kicked off a great stump meeting at The Events Summit Pointe Hotel in Spartanburg South Carolina yesterday as Ron Paul makes his bid for the Republican nomination for President in one of the first of the Southern primary states amid a surprisingly receptive crowd.

Paul stands tall with talk on freedom by The Herald Journal‘s JASON SPENCER reports– A little-known Texas congressman seeking the Republican nomination for president visited Spartanburg Saturday and seemed to arrive with all the makings of rock-star candidate for his party – despite low polling, little name recognition and a relatively small campaign staff.

“We have lost our faith and confidence that freedom really works!” as Ron Paul quips as he whips up the crowd into a frenzy with his messianic message “In most countries, tyranny reigns. Freedom is under attack. It’s under attack in this country, as well.”

stronger adherence to the Second Amendment over the past decade could have thwarted the 9/11 terror attacks – and that this country has gone in the wrong direction with “government bureaucrats taking away our toothpaste at the airport.” He said America can’t afford to continue to support its military presence abroad, which he called a “world empire.” He accused the government of “creating money out of thin air,” straying from the constitutional monetary standards of gold and silver. And he said he’s against abortion because a fetus has the same rights as an adult human.

It was not a large crowd, as far as crowds go, but they were vocal and as much as could fit and in fact people over flowed into the halls from the allotted space at the “Summit Pointe Meeting and Events Center” it was standing room only.

The most thunderous applause came when Dr. Paul talked about the abused of Habeas corpus and the abandonment of this important principals effects upon our Constitution. And how we should go about the serious business of conducting and winning a war without the incompetent interference from those at the TSA’s army of morons and other government bureaucrats of this ilk.

Spencer notes—Thunderous applause also followed when he decried the Patriot Act (ovation No. 4), when he said America should never go to war without a declaration from Congress or because of a United Nations resolution (ovations No. 8 and 9), and when he attacked President Bush’s foreign policy and handling of the war in Iraq (ovations No. 11, 12 and 13).

Notably absent from the discussion was what kind of government we should expect lacking of public funding and what was his plan to confront global warming.

As a populace “candidate” he has found no shortage of support from the “mainstream” party but as far as how he would preform as an actual President is still far enough in left field as to remain in the realm of theoretical conjuncture but its safe to assume he would have not found himself in the political arena at all if the current administration had demonstrated the slightest degree of repentance on any number of issues. The fact that the TSA is still finds a permanent encampment of tards, in control at our nation’s airports… Its a good indicator as any as why this administration’s oblivion remains clueless… They just do not get it. There is a cure for ignorance but not much can be done for just plain and simple stupid… Of course unless its “stupid by design”… Now there’s a scary thought but at the ends of the day remains the only rational explanation.

One Path to Victory “Only in America!”

Over at ZDNet Mitch Ratcliff announced the infusion of his new company (Buzz Logic NOT to be confused or construed with my small psychic informational portal “Doctor Buzzard Tasteless Tonic and Medicine Show!) with a real spiritual injection from the business venture captial Bankers of hard assets… It’s not so unusual or unexpected that Mitch’s efforts would eventually pay off no matter how often his wrong headed liberal politics may have steered him off into the dark abyss. Because a lot of times these insticts proved right on the money. He is someone with whom that you can hold a consistent and honest disagreement without holding a grudge. He is no doubt laughing all the way to the bank because the proof of success is found in a happy and productive life. Should, perhaps, say break a leg but there are those who might take this literally been there and done that and so did they so I’ll just say best of lucky.

I wish Mitch the best but can help but be a bit concerned to see that army of corporate attorneys that seem to be necessary to keep an ongoing concern upon the increasing litigious Internet. This cannot be a good development when you add all the political correctness that is already all too pervasive in our over litigious nation. Perhaps he feels he has no choice, I mean if he wants to fly without being harassed by the moron army of the TSA. You either have to fly Air force One or own a corporate jet.
On thing for sure, if President Bush is serious about winning the war on terror, the first step (IMHO) is the disbanding of the TSA because it is counter productive and does not serve the stated goal of winning the war on terror. Unless of course that is not the goal but rather the distruction of the Constitution of the United States of America is the true objective, then “Way to go” … Sir, give it over to the Air Marshall, frankly they would be hard pressed at putting this country’s war efforts into greater ruin. You have to have home support as well as home security if we are to mantain a sustained effort on the part of this nation in order to pervail over the long haul. The TSA must go.

The TSA catastrophe is the worst disaster to hit US since Katrina and among the worst man made ever! The Washington Post has reported that the TSA has cost the US almost a billion dollars in wasted money and looting of the nation treasury… Not to mention hundred of thousands of law abiding citizens that have had their property stolen and their constitutional rights violated as well as their lives interrupted in this wholesale grab for money and power. You have got ask if we have not put the fox in charge of the hen house with people’s luggage gone missing and not to mention hundreds of millions of dollars looted from the national treasury and no can account for anything, not even luggage stolen by the TSA. Airline Security by Spartanburg Herald Journal Reports– I’ve heard a lot about flight restrictions and the problems the Transportation Security Administration has had with notorious criminals such as actress Celia Weston trying to “smuggle” pimento cheese onto a plane. I recently encountered problems with flight security at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport concerning my National Rifle Association silver bullet key chain — a key chain that had already made the same trip through half a dozen security checkpoints. The only difference this time was that I was in a bit of a hurry and forgot to place my keys in the tray, which triggered the alarm when I went through the gate. One security guard rifled through my pockets and pulled out my keys. As if he had stumbled across King Tut’s treasure, he gasped and said it looked like a 50-caliber bullet! You would have thought he had just captured Osama bin Laden. No matter that it had “NRA” and “Charlton Heston” inscribed on the side and had a quarter-inch hole drilled through the middle of the clearly single die cast. “We are just like the FBI,” he said to me — which I doubt, but in the event that they are, this would go a long way in explaining why we have yet to capture the elusive Osama. From the looks of things, it’s obvious to me that they’re never going to catch the real terrorists. Instead, they seem content with harassing and haranguing the citizens of this nation, and the only thing they are likely to succeed in is destroying the Constitution of the United States of America. It begs the question: Just whose side are these guys on, anyway?

The news is spreading fast and WSPA TV 7 is suppose to do a local report on luggage gone missing as a serious problem with the TSA apparently running some kind of racket with at least one of the carriers involved in what appears to be an “inside job” of setting up unsuspecting travlers and stealing their personal property!The Spartanburg County’s Community Emergency Response Team or CERT.is preparing for disaster… Looks like their training should come in handy at the local airport with the TSA mobsters in charge where it’s clear catastrophe has already struck! American Airlines Shows the Promise of Profit (Or How We May Yet Still Win the War on Terror)

American Airlines made headlines the other day for posting a profit for the first time in many years and only the second airline in the country to post any kind of profit this year. The friendly skies have been turbulent with most if not all the major carriers in some form of bankruptcy in one form or another. Although earnings at American are good for the moment with fuel prices on the rise and idiots in charge at TSA, their time spent in the black is expected to be brief.

Certainly their rise from the depths of an ocean of red ink has been impressive the manner was found in the application of common sense a vanishing and rare commodity in the dark clouds of the not so friendly American skies. This was no small feat by any measure, actually Box Car Earl is a cheesecake cake walk when compared to having passengers brave the gauntlet of barely literate morons in charge of this nations “First line of defense” as was pointed out to me recently in the local GSP International jetport as they also screamed they were “Just like the FBI!”… Lord save us from all those who cannot clearly read plain English or differentiate between a liquid gel and pimento cheese. Is there any wonder why we are losing the critical war on terrorism with morons in charge of this nation’s security? Surely it is not all the high school dropouts that are sent to Iraq or imbeciles called to serve as United States Senators in Massachusetts… No I don’t believe that for one moment as the small army of morons are mandatory as FEMA in protecting this nation’s skies from the steely determination of those set on doing us harm… Now that’s a scary thought! Think about it before booking your next airline ticket. You are a 1000 times safer riding the train with Box Car Willie and his Cheesy friend Earl And that you can take to the bank… And I’ll tell you why.

First of all Box Car and his buddies are not as likely to steal your personal belongings, strip search and inflict public humiliation or add insult to injury by an arrest that creates a terrorist record that can never be expunged from your record even if you are found innocent in a court of law. In addition when you compare “hitting the ground rolling” with that to smashing into a skyscraper or plunging from forty thousand feet from the skies (40,000 ft)… Well just try rolling away from that one. Not to mention if you survive the gauntlet of imbeciles after being subjected to every form of public humiliation that the diabolical and twisted moronic mind might connive then there is the second test one must endure, no doubt in part seemly conceived by the producers from the same good people that brought us Abu Ghraib atrocities… Where first you are expected to place all your belongings into a stall not much larger than the glove compartment of a luxury VW. Then you are to squeeze yourself into a seat the size to comfortably accommodate a NAZI death camp survivor and hold the pose of a contortionists for at least a couple of hours. During which you’re force fed a cardboard boxed meal in the area the size of a large match box, which some might call the Auschwitz lunchbox Special , if not for the fear of being sued by the guest of NAZI atrocities for giving those who suffered such death camp fire hospitality a bad name…

Trust me you’re light years safer taking the train. Still we might take a lesson from American Airlines and apply a little common sense to winning the war on terror… (Yeah right, like how likely is the Tooth Fairy to shallow that one.:)

An Odd Synchronicity (Or Why We Really Lost the War on Terrorism)

Now I know many of you may not see a pattern in the Stock Market with the all time record setting high on the heels, in fact to the day of the most recent crash in 1987… But these things do work in almost exactly the same manner except reversed… Like the difference between the Lunar and Solar Eclipse. 19 years to the day we experienced the Crash of 1987, at that time I had been working as an advisor at one of the local brokerage houses “Interstate Securities”, where I had warned just about everyone this was coming. I saw patterns in many things both large and small… Historical (remarkably similar pattern to the 1929 Crash) and also in the technical analysis (The Elliott Wave)…. And other things but all of which pointed, at least in my mind, that clearly a major correction or disruption in the markets was about to transpire. I was not the only one who saw these patterns and was alarmed by these striking patterns… There was Marty Zweig of Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street Week who tried to warn investors to step back but to no avail. I knew that no one would believe me later so I booked a trip out of the country certain in the knowledge that the records from TRW would be hard to deny or explain.   When I got to Canada I also tried to contact Rudy Cox one of the main trading brokers at Interstate Securities but he was out on the golf course trying to salvage his game which was almost as catastrophic as the Cash in the Market (maybe even a few points lower:)

Now 19 years later even as I see the stock market reach new highs but see an even more treacherous pattern in things which could be just as disastrous as the Crash of 87 perhaps even more dire if corrections are not made. I might be tempted to call these series of unfortunate events the reasons “Why We lost the War on Terrorism.” … “The TSA Effect”.   If you wish you can blame it on the morons that have seized control over Homeland security…Maybe they’re should be given some sort of test before being handed a gun and a badge. Like maybe basic remedial reading skills (Not really expecting them to read the to read the constitution but maybe just recognize letters like NRA or a name like Charlton Heston. You might think this is too much to ask but believe they can’t but should cause it does make a difference… It would at the very least be helpful)..

   Yeppers for most of you by all means take the train do not even attempt to fly unless absolutely necessary… Besides you really do not want to deal with the morons at the TSA … I’m thinking about writing about “How and Why We Lost the War on Terrorism” If you wish and to be fair it is not due to the incompetence of the weary American Solider who has sacrificed life and limb to protect this nation rather you can blame it on the morons that have seized control over Homeland Security (“We are like the FBI! One screamed at me in the local GSP Airport as my flight on NorthWestern Airlines was about to disenbark 10 minutes early)…

After reading about what happened to the actress Celia Weston of Kiss My Grits! fame its clear ignorance has been given equal opportunity with these guys. Believe it or not the TSA at the GSP Airport, stripped searched her of her pimento cheese because “it could be a Gel” and after having experienced their moronic methods up close and personal (still pending a court trial so I can’t really talk about it at the moment but believe me I will)… If I ever had plans to come in this direction that included plans on ANY stop overs at the GSP Airport… Maybe a better idea just to take a train. When all is said and done it will be clear we lost the war on Terrorism (if we do God forbid) will be because we lost the last moniker of common sense and allowed Idiots to convince us that we no longer had a constitution… We forgot who we were and where we came from. We lost our reason to fight because we had already lost our reason for freedom.

My advice for the moment is to wait for the train, I hear that whistle blowing, it will be back around… Besides the food is much better, the people conducting the train polite, and the scenery is beautiful this time of year… Get out and see the country and enjoy your trip! Send me a postcard:)
